Nemanja Stanković is a Serbian cellist who is considered one of the most impressive Serbian artists of the younger generation.
He has had solo performances with the Belgrade Philharmonic, the RTS Symphony Orchestra, the Camerata Serbica Orchestra, the Italian Youth Orchestra (OGI), the Czech Virtuosos, the Strings of Sts. Đorđe, Niš Symphony Orchestra, BGO Dušan Skovran, Bitola Chamber Orchestra, Zrenjanin Chamber Orchestra, FMU Symphony Orchestra in Belgrade, Kristianstad Symphony Orchestra, Norbal. As a soloist, he collaborated with conductors Rafael Boyalov, Nobris, Fabris Bojan Sudjic, Biljana Radovanovic, Le Fi Fi.
The project “New Serbian music for cello” arose from the simple need to leave a trace of today, as a testimony to the time in which we live and create. Eight Serbian eminent composers, of different generations, but also manuscripts, enriched the literature of Serbian art music with their creativity, presenting the cello as an instrument capable of evoking various human emotions.
