This selection of logos goes through the period 2010 to 2020 and represents the timelines of the design development and learning process. I think it’s important to look back at the beginning of a career to learn something from it. If there are any mistakes, it’s important to learn from them.
The logo is the most important part of the visual identity. It almost represents the beginning of brand development and dictates the direction in which it should develop. A logo is the central element of a complex identification system that must be functionally extended to all communications of an organization. It usually consists of symbols and names, sometimes with taglines. The logo is there to represent the values of the brand, ie the business, and to establish a relationship with the end-user.
The selection of our logos also represents the different periods that we as designers go through and develop. Some of the logos may not even be the best designed, they may be part of a passing trend or they simply do not fit into everyone’s vision of good aesthetics, whatever that means. But it is important that they are there and remind us where we started and where we are now. And to make the logo smaller.
